GoBookIt ("we," "us," or "our") operates a home services directory at gobookit.in. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, and business details when you create an account, list a business, or submit a quote request.

We automatically collect certain technical data when you use the site, including IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring URLs through standard analytics and server logs.

If you tap "Use my location," your browser may share device coordinates so we can sort nearby contractors by distance. Precise GPS is kept in your browser session for that purpose; we may store a coarse city preference in cookies. Approximate network location (IP) may be used when GPS is not available and is not treated as precise GPS.

We use collected information to:

• Operate and improve the directory and search experience
• Show nearby contractors when you choose to share location
• Process quote requests and account-related communications
• Maintain listing accuracy and prevent abuse
• Analyze site usage and performance
• Comply with legal obligations

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences (including a coarse nearby city when set), keep sessions secure, and understand how visitors use our website. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Map/location display labels may use OpenStreetMap data where applicable (© OpenStreetMap contributors).

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers who help us host, secure, and operate the platform, and when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Quote requests you submit may be forwarded to the contractor or business you contact.

Payments are processed by PayPal, which acts as our payment provider and receives the payment details needed to complete a transaction. PayPal handles that information under its own privacy policy and its own security standards. We share the identifiers and billing details listed below with PayPal in order to take payment, renew subscriptions, process refunds, and handle disputes.

PayPal is the payment provider for all paid plans on GoBookIt. Payments are completed on PayPal's hosted checkout pages. Full card numbers, card security codes (CVV), and other payment credentials are entered on PayPal's pages and are handled by PayPal. GoBookIt never receives and never stores full card numbers or CVV.

PayPal processes your payment under its own privacy policy and its own security standards. We store only the identifiers and metadata described in the sections below, which is what we need to confirm a payment with PayPal, activate and maintain your plan, and keep an auditable record of the transaction.

To operate, support, and audit paid plans, we store the following payment-related information:

• The PayPal order reference and the PayPal capture identifier for each payment
• The PayPal subscription identifier for a recurring plan, and the PayPal plan identifier associated with the plan you selected
• The plan you purchased
• The transaction amount and currency (USD)
• The transaction status, and the invoice number, amount, status, issue date, and due date
• The subscription start date and the date your paid period runs through
• The cancellation flag on a subscription, and the time a cancellation was recorded
• Refund and reversal records, including the amount refunded and the related PayPal reference
• Dispute records raised against a payment
• PayPal webhook event identifiers, event types, the times those events were received and processed, and any processing error

This payment information is stored in our database against your account so that we can operate the plan, honour refunds and disputes, and answer billing questions.

Monthly plans are recurring subscriptions, so we keep a subscription record for each one. It contains the PayPal subscription identifier, the plan, the subscription status, the start date, the date the paid period runs through, and the cancellation flag and cancellation timestamp. Each monthly renewal creates a further transaction record and invoice record, so that every renewal charge is recorded separately.

The Lifetime Access plan is different: it is a one-time purchase for a single price. We record that one purchase as a single transaction and invoice against your account. No recurring billing profile is set up for it and it is never charged again, so no renewal charges are created for it.

We use the payment information listed above to:

• Activate and maintain the listing plan you paid for
• Grant listing access for the period you have paid for
• Process and record renewals
• Handle refunds, reversals, and disputes
• Detect and correct duplicate payments
• Provide support and answer billing or transaction queries
• Keep an auditable record of payments made to GoBookIt
• Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We keep subscription, transaction, invoice, and webhook records for as long as we need them to operate the plan, to honour refunds and disputes, to answer support and billing queries, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Payment information is retained as part of those records rather than deleted once a plan ends.

Full payment credentials are not retained by us at all: card numbers and CVV are held by PayPal as part of processing your payment, under PayPal's own privacy policy and retention practices.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Contact us to submit a privacy request.

The same rights apply to the payment and transaction information listed above. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of that information, email gobookit.in@gmail.com or use our contact page. We may need to keep some records — for example, invoices and completed transactions — because we are required to retain them for legal, tax, accounting, and transaction-record purposes, or because they are needed to handle a refund, reversal, or dispute.
